Joseph Perrier Cuvée Royale Brut
One of the original houses to become a member of the 'Union de Maisons de Champagne', also known as a Grand Marque Champagne. This collective organisation of houses demonstrate superlative winemaking skills and unflagging commitment to promote the exclusiveness of Champagne wines and establish their reputation worldwide. Despite this status, Joseph Perrier remain a small and modest producer with a focus on consistency of quality. Their cellars in Châlons-en-Champagne were built in the 1820s before electric light, so natural sunlight was beamed underground using mirrors placed at the bottom of deep shafts and this system is in place to this day.
